Adobe After Effects - Assisted Suicide
Here is the result from working through another tutorial from VideoCoPilot.net. I am now starting figure my way around the after effects interface better and grasp a better understanding of visual effect techniques such as motion tracking and rotoscoping however I doubt I would be able to apply many of the techniques by myself given some variable footage. Love the results that can achieved though so gonna just keep on practicing.
Barry Vs. Sean trailer
Here is the advert for my film which I produced using Adobe Premiere. I found this fairly easy to do since the film was quite short meaning I could easily select the most exciting moments to show in rapid succession and give the audience an excited feel for the film. I used a editing style fairly common in comedy trailers where it lulls you into a false sense of serenity before introducing the bumbling main character or plot line. Once again I find a drum n bass soundtrack works perfectly for this kind of advertisement. I was careful not show too much from the finale of the film since its meant to be a kind of twist, so instead the brief shots of the clown just leave you interested in why there is a clown.
